Where It Is Available
Most of the country can play. A small group of states cannot. The operator terms decide your account.
Three things decide availability
State promotions law, state gambling law, and how much risk each operator will carry. The third one explains most of the confusion, because two operators reading the same statute can reach opposite conclusions, and one will accept players in a state while its competitor refuses. We therefore publish what each operator accepted while we were testing rather than a legal opinion of our own.
What we saw across eighteen accounts
- Open nearly everywhere. The large majority of states were accepted by every operator, with a minimum age of eighteen or twenty-one depending on site and state.
- Excluded by all. A small group was blocked by every operator we funded. Washington and Idaho were the most consistent, with Michigan and Nevada excluded by most.
- Split between operators. Several states were accepted by some and refused by others, which signals differing legal advice rather than settled law. This group changes most often.
- Changed during testing. More than one operator withdrew from a state inside our window, so a site that accepted you last season may not now.
The check that takes two minutes
Open the operator terms and search for excluded, prohibited or ineligible. That list governs your account, not any summary elsewhere including this page. Confirm the minimum age for your state. Then remember that eligibility follows where you physically are rather than where you live.
Location checks and VPNs
Every operator we compared verified identity before redemption and checked location at both signup and withdrawal. Masking location breaches the terms at all eighteen, and the usual outcome is a frozen balance. On a free account there is nothing to gain.
Back To The Comparisons
Every figure came from an account we funded ourselves.
